4. Objectives Students will be learn about the plague and how it spread through Europe
5. Assessment: Students will be assessed based off of their completion of the tasks (Viewing/responding to the edTed, viewing the Thinglink image and by completing the google quiz)
6. Prerequisite Knowledge: No prior knowledge is required for this lesson
7. New Knowledge: Students will learn about the plague and how it swept through Europe so rapidly, killing a large part of the population.
8. Class Time: Class will start with the students going to edTed to view a video and answer questions about the plague. Students also should take notes on the video. The students will then start view the Thinglink image and take notes. After students will take a google quiz on what they learned.

10. Connection: This lesson will teach students about an illness that is no longer a threat to people. Connections can be made to current illnesses that have no cure.
11. Differentiation: The edTed will offer a video for students to follow along with a short guided questions. The Thinglink is easy for all students to view and offers a visual for those who learn better with images. The quiz is online and self-paced, helping students that have trouble with time based tests.
12 Evaluation: Student learning will be evaluated by completion of the edTed, and the completion of the google quiz.
13. Homework or extension: If all work is completed in the allotted class time there will be no homework for this section. If work is not completed students will finish uncompleted sections as homework.
